What will I achieve?

This is not a course. You are hiring a Banker (workstation) for the day to work on your own piece without instruction.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

A previous Have A Go session is essential as you will be working without instruction.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

These sessions will be entirely practical. Everyone will be working at their banker at their own pace, so you’re welcome to continue carving between sessions or just within the sessions themselves.

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to prepare in advance, or bring?

Stone is not included: you’re welcome to bring your own stone, or buy a piece from Burngate that is the right size and type for your project.

Safety equipment will be available. Please wear old clothes and stout shoes or boots.

Tools are available for purchase or hire. Stone pieces are available for purchase.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are complementary.
